Sundeals bookings are covered by ATOL protection to give you clear, UK-backed protection from the moment you book.
We sell traditional package holidays. Your holiday can include everything, or you can leave off things like checked bags or transfers to keep the price lower. Either way, your holiday still counts as a package – and that means it’s protected.
ATOL protection means:
Your money is protected if the travel company stops trading
You will not be left out of pocket if something goes wrong
If you are already abroad, arrangements will be made to get you home
You will receive an ATOL Certificate when you book, which confirms what is protected and who to contact if there is a problem. You can also read more about ATOL protection on the Civil Aviation Authority website (opens in new tab).

Budva Riviera holidays combine Montenegro’s best-known beaches with a historic Old Town, lively evenings and easy access to some of the country’s most famous sights.
Budva is one of Montenegro’s most popular holiday destinations, and it’s easy to see why. The town sits at the heart of the Budva Riviera, a coastline that links together beach resorts, fishing villages and scenic viewpoints. It’s also well placed for exploring nearby highlights like Kotor, Sveti Stefan and even Dubrovnik across the border in Croatia.
Budva’s history stretches back more than 2,500 years. At its centre is Budva Old Town – a walled historic quarter filled with stone streets, churches and small squares. The Venetian influence is still clear today, giving parts of the town a look and feel that’s closer to the Adriatic cities of Italy, than a typical beach resort.
One of Budva’s biggest attractions is the coastline – beaches line much of the Riviera, from the stretches around Budva itself, to quieter bays further along the coast. Mogren Beach is a favourite for its scenery, while nearby Sveti Stefan is known for its pink-pebble shoreline and iconic island backdrop.
There’s plenty of contrast here – days are often spent on the beach, exploring local towns or taking boat trips along the coast. In the evenings, waterfront restaurants, bars and open-air venues bring a livelier atmosphere, particularly during the summer months. Whether you prefer a quiet meal overlooking the sea or somewhere with music and nightlife, there’s a good range of options across the Riviera.

Best for travellers who want a bit of everything, Budva combines beaches, restaurants, nightlife and cultural sights in one place. The historic Old Town sits alongside modern hotels, beach promenades and a busy marina. It’s the liveliest base on the Riviera and suits couples, groups and first-time visitors.
If beach time is the priority, Bečići is worth considering. The resort is known for its long beach, larger hotels and family-friendly atmosphere. It’s connected to Budva by a coastal promenade, so you can easily access the Old Town while staying somewhere a little quieter.
Rafailovići offers a more relaxed pace but still keeps everything close by. The former fishing village has a waterfront lined with seafood restaurants and cafés, plus easy access to neighbouring beaches. It suits couples and travellers looking for a quieter coastal stay without feeling isolated.
Petrovac is one of the Riviera’s calmer resorts, making it popular with families and those looking for a slower pace. The beach, seafront promenade and surrounding coves create a laidback atmosphere, while the town remains within easy reach of Budva for daytrips and sightseeing.

Here are some top tips from our team
"Whether you're searching for a memorable date-night spot or simply fancy sampling some of Montenegro's best local flavours, Rakija & Wine Bar deserves a place on your list. Hidden among the cobbled streets of Stari Grad, this intimate spot pairs local wines and traditional rakija with a cosy, candlelit atmosphere that feels a world away from the town's busier bars." – Rachel Coppenhall
The Budva Riviera has plenty to offer beyond its busiest beaches and nightlife spots. Reževići Monastery is a good example, sitting away from the main tourist route and offering a quieter glimpse into Montenegro's history. The small village of Pržno is another worthwhile stop, with a more local atmosphere and traditional waterfront restaurants overlooking the Adriatic.
You don't need a big budget to enjoy the Budva Riviera. Exploring Budva Old Town is one of the easiest ways to spend an afternoon, with historic streets, churches and stone squares tucked behind the ancient walls. The promenade between Budva and Bečići is ideal for a relaxed walk by the sea, while the public viewpoints overlooking Sveti Stefan offer some of Montenegro's most photographed coastal scenery. If you're visiting during the summer season, local waterfront markets and evening strolls through the Riviera's resort centres are also easy ways to experience the destination without spending much at all.
