A last-minute holiday is usually booked within a few weeks of departure, sometimes even days before you travel. These deals appear when airlines or hotels still have availability they want to fill. For complete transparency, we count ‘last minute’ as being anywhere up to six weeks before departure, so that’s what you can find on this page.

They can be, but it’s not guaranteed. Prices drop when our suppliers want to fill spare seats or rooms, but availability is limited and can change quickly. Flexibility usually gives you the best chance of saving. That way, you can compare dates to make sure you’re paying the lowest price possible. Plus, travelling at a basic level always helps – going hand luggage only, not adding transfers etc.

Yes. All Inclusive holidays are often available close to departure, especially in popular resorts. They’re a great option if you want to keep spending predictable once you are away. After all, when booking last-minute, you don’t have as much time to save up extra budget, so you can always pick a price you know you can afford.  

Last-minute holidays can be a great option for families, particularly outside peak school holiday dates. Family rooms and flight times may be more limited, so it helps to be open‑minded when it comes to your destination or hotel.

You should also know, if you’re looking to pay with a deposit and spread the cost of your trip with a flexible payment plan, the availability of these will depend on how close to departure you’re booking. The further in advance you book, the more payment options will be open to you. If you’re booking less than 31 days before departing, we’ll need the full payment upfront.

• If you are already abroad, arrangements will be made to get you home
