Cheap and Cheerful but TINY room

Stayed for 2 nights while visiting Paris. Good location, easy to reach the metro and local buses. Friendly staff, nice welcoming lobby. Staff speak good English. Did not have breakfast, so I can't comment on it. Now for the room....... Well, it's certainly true that you are squeezed into the room we had. A very tiny bathroom which had a window over the bath! Can't say I have come across this before. You really have no room to swing a cat in the bathroom. VERY tiny with no room to really dry yourself after a shower. Which was over the bath, so no screen or curtain, so the floor got drenched. The bed was comfy, and the linen was clean. Good-sized TV, not that we used it much. NO tea and coffee facilities in the room, which was disappointing. Decent-sized fridge, but not that cold to be fair. NO drawers, but shelves and a kind of wardrobe. Very reminiscent of a Moroccan-themed room, as I think they all are. Quite a dark room due to everything being painted in quite dark colours. Overall, though, a pleasant stay and yes I would recommend this hotel, if only for the location and price. If you want luxury, this is not the hotel for you. However, if you want a relaxed atmosphere, cheap and cheerful, this is your hotel.

Basic but worth a 2 night cheap stay

We stayed here last week when visiting Paris. Centrally located, it is easy enough to get local buses to the city centre and surrounding areas. Friendly staff are happy to engage and help. Very pleasant reception space. Our room was on the 3rd floor. The room was very compact. Big bed, clean and tidy. Comfy pillows. NO drawers in the room, only a wardrobe and tables. Large TV on the wall. Small fridge. TINY bathroom, no bigger than a postage stamp!! Having said that, at least the shower was hot, which was welcome after a long day sightseeing. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby. No struggles to find something to eat or drink. Overall, this hotel is quite basic, but what do you want for £156 for 2 nights? No breakfast included in that price, but we liked to go out in the morning anyway, so it wasn't an issue. I would recommend this hotel for a 2-night stay, but I wouldn't stay longer due to the tiny space.

Moroccan vibes, with a hint of dungeon (big hint)

Arrived last Saturday, checked in paid the tourist tax, the whole of reception was filled with old men drinking tea, cracking monkey nuts abd eating dates. I could have cried when I seen the room, omg it was the worst room I've ever stayed in!! 2 sinke beds pushed together, wardrobe was a cupboard with chicken wire doors! No window, just full length curtain pulled across an unlocked patio door that was unlocked!!!! Behind the door looked out onto a spiral fire escape. Pretty grim. I asked the receptionist for a kettle and 2 cups, as there was no tea making facilities in the room. I later found out no tea was served in the hotel, only coffee. We didn't unpack, we went out for dinner locally. We really considered paying for another hotel, however after sleeping on it, the beds were comfortable and we slept well. The shower had no shower curtain, so flooded the floor, until we mastered how to point it in a way that wouldn't soak everywhere. Plenty of hot water, another bonus! The hairdryer worked another tick. The receptionist said we don't clean your room for 3 days, no sheet/towel change or bin emptied. But if you need anything just ask, another first for us. I was dreading trying the breakfast, but it turned out fine, french bagette, ham, cheese, yogurt, cereals fruit- however no English breakfast tea. The only downfall was the awful breakfast lady, banged all the dishes, said no to everything you asked her, and you could tell she didn't like british guests. As when she was asked for something by a french guest,it appeared in seconds! Would we stay here again, no - it did the job but wasn't what was described by Easyjet.
