Possibly the best holiday hotel I’ve stayed in. From checking in to checking out everything was perfect. The room was spacious with a huge bed. Breakfast was taken on the roof terrace, and what a breakfast it was. High quality produce with something for everyone’s taste . The staff were a joy, so pleasant and helpful. It’s hard to fault this hotel. Thank you for everything
This was our first trip to Portugal and we are so pleased we picked this hotel. Having stayed in many package tour type hotels in the past it would be fair to say this hotel is way above the normal. From start to finish this hotel impressed at every turn. The rooms were excellent with a massive bed. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. Breakfast on the roof terrace was delicious with so many choices. Thank you for making our stay perfect
Have just returned from our second stay at the Velamar. The exterior has started to look tatty and something that a lick of paint would easily sort. Had a really good stay as previously, room clean, comfy bed and great breakfast. One afternoon was Karaoke around the pool which clearly wasn't working as no guests were interested. I don't think it's the kind of hotel where you would expect Karaoke. Hotel is in a great central location, with excellent restaurants within five minutes walk. The snack bar next door is excellent. Had a really good stay and wouldn't hesitate to come again.
