Great people. Great deal.
Well, despite the other reviews I’m giving it a 4 star. Here’s why; It’s very inexpensive, so what’s the expectation. Amenities, it had a phone, tv, heat pump. It’s bare bones. However, everything worked as it should. It’s clean. A couple hundred peso as a tip and it gets cleaner. The box on the patio, as mentioned in another review, is your heat pump. If you don’t want it blowing on you as you sit outside, then turn it off. The sliding door, if it doesn’t latch perfect the way you like it, then lay a stick in the bottom. The water is a mineral water that does come out of the taps in Mexico. Is what it is. Towels, sheets, linens. All clean. And the noise, bring some ear plugs, your right on 5th Ave and the action doesn’t stop. I was so tired being out all day I slept right through it. And there is a tourist tax collected at check in. Everywhere. I think it was 60 peso a night. Or $5 Canadian. We didn’t use anything else at the hotel, we just ate at all the different restaurants literally everywhere. Didn’t need a fridge, just cross the street and buy single beers, they’ll even open them for you. Front desk is friendly and accommodating. As far as security, Don’t bring valuables to any downtown hotel anywhere. Just dont. We felt safe regardless and no one meddled with our things. Don’t go in there expecting the world. It’s a great deal for what it is. We are already looking to go back. So much to do around there.
