Timbre Heroísmo

Nice hotel with modern amenities about 20 minutes from the historic old town by foot. Close to local bakeries, bars, and restaurants, or a cheap uber/bolt ride to other areas. Our room was spacious and clean though the bathroom leaves lots to be desired, with no ventilation and a frosted glass wall as your only form of privacy. The hotel’s dark features and dim lighting do create a bit of an eerie vibe at night, so wouldn’t necessarily recommend for families with younger children.

Amazing modern hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. The room was extremely clean and very comfortable. It exceeded my expectations! Breakfast was by far the best I've had in Porto and I've stayed at many hotels here. Great coffee too. All in all a first class hotel that I highly recommend.

Stayed at Timbre Heroismo for three nights in December as a pre-xmas getaway. It's a very smart, modern hotel that feels like it's had a fair bit of money spent on it in the last few years. Check-in and reception generally were excellent. Very friendly, approachable staff with excellent English and an appreciation for my faltering attempts at Portuguese. There's only a small bar area but did decent snacks and drinks at reasonable prices. Breakfast was fine if unspectacular. Didn't eat in the hotel restaurant - Porto has so many nice other restaurants to try. Conveniently, the hotel is right across the street from the Heroismo metro station so very easy for getting about town or out to the airport.
