Do not accept the *01 rooms (101/201/301/401 etc) if you can help it! Our room was on the 1st floor directly over the hotel entrance. They look out over the main road and are directly above the smoking area. There is no privacy because all of the apartments across the street can see directly into your room. You can hear the road noise starting from 5am. I couldn’t go out onto the balcony to relax or dry clothes without the smell of cigarettes. There was a huge discrepancy in what room we were given and what room we booked. I’d recommend not using Agoda as the hotel staff will assign you any room on arrival and then make it difficult to change rooms after that. They also didn’t seem to know about how Agoda works. Other than that, it’s a really nice hotel. Breakfast was top class. Relaxing by the pools are lovely and we watched the sunset most evenings on the rooftop. The sweet madeira wine is gorgeous. The location is great (fab gelato just down the street). Shout-out to Bruno for being great and helping to resolve the issues with our room! It’s perfect so long as you don’t get one of those rooms!

Good to share: 1. All are friendly and smiling staffs 2. Nice and not crowded breakfast environment 3. Close to bus stop No 1, 2 and 4 to downtown 4. Modern design and totally new hotel from 2025 5. Very clean room with new facilities 6. Small gym and indoor pool but it works Need to be better: 1. The music at the restaurant and outdoor pool runs the whole day. In the evening after 9-10 pm it could be little bit too much 2. The bathroom smells little bit of drain and urine. We bought a toilet cleaning blocks (color balls) in the toilet and it helps

A great experience at the hotel. Everything was spotless and it smelt amazing everywhere in the hotel. The breakfast was brilliant and constantly looked after by the staff. A huge shout out to the wonderful lady who looks after the spa. She was so warm and welcoming. It was the best massage I have ever had in my life. Highly recommended. The only slight downside was how noisy the spa was at times with groups of people, but I understand it is hard for the hotel to manage that. Most the time it was fine. My room was kept spotlessly clean and the turndown service was a nice touch. Highly recommended.
