Tamarix Aparthotel

Stunning little fishing village, awesome views from hotel windows. The sunsets are amazing. We stayed for a week in mid Oct. the weather was great 24-26 degrees C. Tamerix is clean and well run, the host is a lovely lady and cannot do enough to help. there was only 1 bar and 1 restaurant open at this time of year but it was still very enjoyable. Next door to the hotel is a well stocked small shop open at 7am til 2pm and 5 til 7pm every day. There are some lovely walks to the right of the village, 2-3 miles away There are a couple of tiny coves with pebble beaches. Hire a car to see more its a great place and very friendly people. I would recommend this hotel. We went to Pag, Zadar, Split, Krka National Park and a few small places totalling 1200 miles in a week, the wife and I loved it here and are planning again for next year.

I'm not sure about the review which mentioned pollution as we saw and smelt none of it! It may be a height of summer thing and we were there in September. The place was pristine inside and out and the views were magic. We sat outside to enjoy the sunset each evening and the colours were stunning. A good local restaurant within a short walk up the hill and bar by the water. Total quiet except for the occasional ring of the church bells but only in the morning and evening. Highly recommend as a place to stay away from the crowds.

Went here for a week and it was all right till night fall. I cannot describe what smell that was. It was like we are in the middle of old toilet. We came out and realized that it is from sewerage of hotel. We were shocked because they wasting it in the sea just in front of the hotel. Next morning we asked owner to explain that smell and she told us that it is not theirs problem and everything is fine(despite smell and pollution) and that nobody complained since we asked. We asked others on breakfast and they told us that they felt smell. Night after, we were sitting in front of the hotel and same problem. Some local people asked us how can we sit outside on that smell. From conversation with them we realized that the smell from hotel is big problem for everyone in the village but the owners do not care for the pollution. We realized that local people do not swim near hotel but problem is beach just 50 meters from hotel. Why and how this could happened and how someone letting for this to happening.
