Plus Fariones Habitat

The apartment is well located but there are a few issues - especially if staying for more than a few days: Check in: we were required to check in using a mobile app; this was most inconvenient and I was not comfortable having to upload a photo of my passport and a photograph of my face. I have never come across this before. Security: We were issued with 4 digit code on the day of arrival; the front door to the street won’t lock; the inner door in hallway was often left open so anyone can access the apartments. Since there is no reception desk this is clearly a security risk. Furniture: The apartment is spacious, but very sparsely furnished. Living room: in the living area, there is a couch, small round dining table, 3 dining chairs, 3 small coffee tables, a cabinet for storing towels & a TV. There are not enough surfaces to put books, magazines, computers etc & store other items. The room is big enough to include two comfortable armchairs & a desk for working on a laptop. There is no balcony, however the windows open wide and allow for fresh air. Kitchen: The kitchen is sparsely furnished. We had to ask the cleaner to show us how to operate the induction hob even though we have an induction hob at home – it is very difficult to operate; there is a microwave, but no oven or air fryer. There is a coffee maker, but we had no idea how to operate it. The glasses & dishes are stored on the top shelves (too high!); only 3/4 of everything (cups, saucers, plates, knives (5) etc) which is a pain as you have to keep washing up during a meal; only one chopping board; no wine bottle opener; not sure why there are two frying pans; the coffee machine takes up all the counter space, so we put it on the ground to make room for the dish drainer, and to prepare food; lovely big fridge/freezer but door difficult to close. Bathroom: no issues – lovely shower just need somewhere to dry towels Washing/drying clothes – there is no washing machine or clothes airer. There is nowhere to dry swimming costumes or towels (although the nearest beach was closed due to pollution when we were there). The nearest laundromat is a nine-minute walk away (according to Google maps). This is not acceptable if you are staying more than a couple of days. WIFI: WIFI works well – would be helpful to have code printed out in an information sheet for the apartment. While staff were accessible via WhatsApp messages I would prefer to have someone actually on the premises.

Stayed for 2 weeks April/May, the apartment was as good as advertised modern, clean and comfortable everything looked new Position perfect for us as we walked a lot and it’s very central, we had a high floor app. Fabulous view. The roof terrace is a real bonus . Only drawback could perhaps be the late night bar next door but wouldn’t put us off and we’re looking forward to going back next year

As a solo traveler, I had a fantastic experience at Plus Fariones Habitat in Arrecife. The apartments boast a modern, clean design that felt fresh and inviting. Plus, the location is unbeatable - close to restaurants, shops, and the harbor, making it easy to explore the city on my own. The staff were incredibly helpful, despite the lack of a physical Reception. Communication via WhatsApp and email was seamless, and the contactless check-in process was a breeze. It made arriving as a solo traveler very smooth. Here are a few suggestions for improvement that would make this a truly perfect solo stay: Drying Dishes: There wasn't a designated area for drying plates and utensils after hand washing. A drying rack or drip tray would be a welcome addition for solo travelers like myself. Bedroom Entertainment: The bedroom TV lacked access to Chromecast, unlike the living room. While the living room option was nice, it would be fantastic if guests could access the HDMI port on the bedroom TV or have Chromecast enabled. With limited Spanish language skills, the lack of English channels made the bedroom TV a bit useless for relaxing evenings. Late-Night Arrivals: I arrived late at night from my flight and was quite hungry. Unfortunately, the airport and local supermarkets were closed by then. A welcome note with suggestions for late-night food options, or even better, a vending machine with basic snacks or the option to order a pre-paid package of some dry snacks / supplies would have been a lifesaver! Overall, I had a wonderful stay at Plus Fariones Habitat. The modern design, excellent location, and helpful staff made it a perfect base for exploring Arrecife as a solo traveler. With a few minor tweaks, this accommodation could be truly exceptional!
