Disappointing
Not 4 star and not serviced, there lots of points i could raise , on a positive pool is pristine and kept so by the pool staff. facilities and breakfast at the Pestana casino hotel superb . The suites are situated across the road from the main hotel not a problem when dry but even when raining only a short dash. There is a lift to all floors , the entrance to each floor is via a fire door , this cannot have a door closer so ever time some one lets go it is like a bomb going off. See view suites at the front have sea views floor 4 and up , Rooms are tired , fridge was totally frozen ice box , bottles in the door made it tip, bathroom unit draws have split and swollen with humidity. Staff were not very engaging, linen was clean and fresh but checks were not carried out when serviced we had to ask for towels that were not left, tea bags , bin bags you only get one for a week , sanitary bags i had to buy ... The pool should close at 8pm but is not monitored we had people drinks round the pool until the early hours not ideal for those on the ground floor . Having stayed now in the suites and the hotel , i would recommend the hotel everything here felt 2nd class
