Convenient but may not meet expectations

Hotel was convenient to transportation and in generally good condition. It met our needs. You may think you’re paying for an actual Queen bed and wind up with a sofa bed.

Central location, attentive service, spotless room = good value

I purchased a non-refundable room and negative reviews (posted during the horrible heat wave) caused me undue worry. Service was excellent. I received an upgrade as an NH member so I can't comment on the size of the standard room. The facilities were spotless and the location couldn't be more central. Breakfast was varied but a bit disappointing: a Parisian hotel should do better on the baked goods. All in all, good value.

decent choice at Gare de L'Est

First, the hotel is not in the best area, but the staff tries to make up for any inconveniences. 1. Location-across from Gare de l'est-so lot of traffic and nighttime sirenes going on 2. Sleep quality impaired from above 3. Staff is responsive and tries to care for the guests 4. Housekeeping always available in the hallways and responsive 5. Rooms-bigger than some 5 star hotels in the city 6. Views-towards the railway station maybe 7. Bar-simple, but does the job 8. Car parking-none, lucky is you can stop in the "delivery zone" to get unloaded 9. Upgrades are difficult to come by, even if you have GHA titanium status; lots of rooms are actually very similar and this hotel gets a lot of foot traffic from very short stays
