Wonderful holidays

The hotel is wonderfull, very clean with a high professional service. Besides, its lication is quie good, near to bus and metro stations also near to the beautiful Montmartre city, indeed going there by walk, takes only 20 minutes . Also with public transport it is near to pyramids, Louvres, Triomphe Arc etc. As well as commercial centers like Saint Lazare, Gallerie Lafayette etc . I really enjoyed my holiday there and strongly recommend it !

Paris stay- convenient and pleasant

Hotel is in a great location, rathera walkable distance to the Champs-Elysees! The metro and the train station are both very close by, too. The room is spacious enough, with a balcony (at least ours was). Though, the room and the bathroom could use some restauration due to the obvious age of the furniture. Breakfast was good enough for me, however the big plus was the terrace overlooking the street in which breakfast is being held. Staff was pleasant, too. In all, even though the hotel could use some repairing, it is still very lovely and convenient for your stay in Paris

Competent management could make this a great hotel

First impressions were excellent: location very close to transport links and a range of brasseries and restaurants; a charming décor and ambience in the public areas – and pleasant rooms. But then the avoidable nonsenses started: we had booked a double and a twin and the receptionist went to great pains to ensure she gave the correct key to the correct guest, but she needn’t have bothered as both rooms had just a double bed! It wasn’t a big deal and we were able to laugh it off. We were not quite so amused to discover that the breakfast, which she had told us would be 15 euros each, was in fact 17euros. An even nastier shock was 50 euros city tax, that we were not expecting. The breakfast was adequate, but the “egg bar” had no English signage or English spoken, so how our eggs arrived was pot luck, fried instead of poached for instance, and it was also pot luck whether anyone asked if you would like some coffee. It was taken in a “Spanish” restaurant attached to the hotel – but a separate business. The prices were eye watering, but we can’t comment on the value, having given up after 10 minutes waiting to be acknowledged, let alone served, on the evening we tried to eat there. Perhaps the worst shortcoming was the facilities in the rooms. No kettle (one was advertised), but a coffee machine, with no instructions, that produced one cup of coffee in three nights, either chewing up the pods or flooding the table on other nights. No milk, no tea bags, and no instructions about how to call reception – who didn’t answer anyway, whatever one pressed. The final, final straw was to discover two beer bottles in the mini-bar, but no means of opening them! It is a relatively small hotel, which presumably doesn’t have an on site manager. If it did, it shouldn’t be too difficult to make a potentially lovely hotel ever so slightly customer friendly?
