What a lovely hotel. Reception staff were so friendly and welcoming. They kindly stored our luggage as our room wasn’t quite ready because we arrived very early. When we got to our room it was lovely. Very smart and spotless.. Bathroom and shower were amazing. Even though our room was facing the main road, you wouldn’t know it once the doors to the balcony were closed. Air conditioning was great. Beds were very comfy too! Had a wonderful 3 night stay here. Please ignore the negative reviews… This is a great little hotel ideally placed for reaching all the sights of the city. Will definitely return!

the lock on our door was broken EVERY SINGLE DAY. we had to ask staff to come and let us into our room once again every single day. Often times late at night or being made to walk up and down stairs several times with heavy bags. We politely asked each time when the issue could be fixed and they continuously told us they would send maintenance up and never did. As the week went on the staff became more and more abrasive with me each time I had to ask to be let into my room, one time accusing me of not having checked out when I was supposed to even though we were only half way through our stay. The reception staff appeared inexperienced, were unapologetic for the consistent issues, and were argumentative when asked if our problem could be escalated to someone who had a greater understanding of the locks and their mechanisms. Finally on the last day of our trip we were locked out once again right before we were supposed to check out, and only after 5 days in a row of us asking for help did they send us up with a more senior staff member (we also ended up stuck in the lift with this man after that too malfunctioned although thankfully only for two minutes). Thankfully this man was truly excellent, and the first staff member who took time to be kind and understanding and actually help us out, he apologized for previous behavior and clarified that even though multiple days in a row the front desk staff had told us they had asked for a handyman to go up, he had never actually been informed of the issues with our lock. He also quickly concluded that it was an antenna issue within the lock. So whilst the room was fine and the facilities (bar lift and room locks) are nice, the reception staff left us stressed and upset, especially considering how patient and apologetic we were. Shout-out to the cleaning staff and the guy who finally attempted to fix our door for being absolutely wonderful very nice. Further more there is an active building site next door that you can hear very loudly all times of day.
