Invisa Hotel La Cala

The location of this hotel is excellent – very central and just a five-minute walk from the beach and promenade. Although families are welcome, it has more of a (older) couples' hotel feel. The hotel has a charming, traditional Spanish character (there's even a bidet in the bathroom!) with slightly dated furniture and décor, but everything is exceptionally well maintained and kept immaculate. The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, and the entire hotel is spotlessly clean. All of the staff were welcoming, friendly, and helpful, creating a lovely, relaxed atmosphere throughout our stay. The pool area is on the small side, but that wasn't an issue for us as we spent most days at the beach. The pool water was also very warm during our visit, although we were there in the middle of a heatwave. Breakfast offered an excellent selection of fresh, good-quality food, with plenty of choice each morning. Our only minor criticism was that the air conditioning in the bedroom wasn't particularly effective, although the air conditioning in the communal areas worked very well. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

Stayed 5th - 8th July 26 (Mom and daugther short break). Location is fab - 50 metres to the Marina where there are shops and cafes etc, 200 metres to the beach which is a nice area. This hotel is in the middle of a residential area with a number of cafes and shops/supermarket around it. Restaurants on the marina are pricey but the views are amazing. You can hire boats/jet skis from this area. The room (104) in the hotel was fine - clean and suitable for our short stay. 104 is situated on the 1st floor overlooking the street - this didn't bother me or my daugther. Beds were quite high up from the floor (twin beds) and the mattress wasn't the best - could probably do with replacing. Low bath with shower head over it suited our needs. The room was cleaned everyday by a very hardworking cleaner. Only negative for this room is that the toilet is very close to the sink area - quite cramped. There is a cafe opposite which is predominantly Spanish - lots of cheering and whistles/horns when Spain won Portugal. Yes it was noisy for a while but didn't bother us as everyone needs to celebrate a win! 🙂 Stayed half board and couldn't fault the food choices - sunday dinner available most days. The restaurant urant is very organised with seperate areas for drinks, hot food, cold food etc. The hotel was spotless, marble flooring everywhere and you could see your face in the floors they were so clean but not slippy. The staff work hard to keep the hotel running smoothly. Not much entertainment for the evenings but 1 night a good female singer was on. No activities viewed during the day time. Pool area is clean and compact with around 30 sunbeds and the pool isn't that big but its ok to cool off. The young lifeguard is a credit to the hotel as he would go around and help people move the parasols around when shade was needed. He was also very attentive and asked people if they were ok. There is a hoist situated at the side of the pool to help people with disabilities access the pool. There was a TV room just off the entertainment area and this was well used by people wanting to keep up with the World Cup 👍 All in all we enjoyed our stay and would return to this hotel 👌👍🙂

Lovely hotel. Minutes from marina/bars/beach. Staff were amazingly friendly. Rooms were spotless. At some point they will need to update some decor but it has a charm as is and you can appreciate it was done very well last time. Probably more mature guests would appreciate. We didn’t use the pool area so can’t comment on that. Would definitely recommend.
