Illusion is perfect name.
Illusion is a very apt description of this hotel. On first inspection it appear to be very good, a 4 star as described. However as you get more familiar with the place it could only be 3 star . Rooms are very small ,as is the pool, which is also quite grubby, green slime on tiles and very shallow. Shower and toilet tiny, cracked tiles and water from shower splashes onto floor no matter where you put the shower head. Cleaning was haphazard, no towels left on one day and when requested did not have sufficient clean. Shower not cleaned for at least 2 days. Food very basic and dining area like a canteen. If you sit at tables on edge of interior dining area you get water drops on you from aircon system. Same breakfast every day, seemingly veg chopped and refried from previous night. They even failed to supply an early call in day of departure! Plus side is location superb and Air-conditioning in rooms is excellent.
Lovely relaxed break
We booked 9 nights for a 2nd time in a year. We got a full sea view, the room was adequate, as you only really get your head down in there. The room was cleaned every day and the free air conditioning worked a treat. Breakfast was good and you get plenty of choices, from pastries to a full cooked plate. The staff are really polite and friendly, and nothing is too much trouble. The location is perfect, being minutes from the harbour,where there are plenty of bars and restaurants. Though be aware that most places are closed by 1am. We'll definitely return.
