Hotel Sobrado

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Sobrado. The staff were very friendly and always helpful. The food was excellent, with a great variety and quality every day. The beautiful beach is about 1 km from the hotel, with sunbeds and refreshments (included as part of the “full board plus” package). The location is peaceful and relaxing, yet within walking distance of many interesting places – the botanical garden, the salt flats, the center of Santa Maria, the sea turtle rescue station (where you can even see baby turtles), and the "shell cemetery". We also took a trip with a travel agency to explore other attractions on Sal, which was definitely worth it. Overall, a wonderful and memorable stay – highly recommended! 🌴✨

Hotel very clean and rooms very spacious. Staff very hard working and professional . Outside area where the hotel is situated was not nice at all, very ugly area and didn’t feel safe to walk through there in the dark. Good varied and very nutritious . All guests seem to be if scandanavian people so only one couple were English. Nobody smiled much or engaged in conversation. Somehow lacking a holiday vibe throughout. Gym looked quite decent, pool was very small and garden could have done with some plants to make it look nice . I’ve had better customer service.
