We had such a lovely time here, it was so nice, relaxing enough for us, unbelievably beautiful weather and those 10 days that are needed to keep you going through the year. This was such a lovely hotel with some amazing friendly staff, you can get money changed at the reception, the pool is huge and so nice! Plenty of beds to go around and the sun/weather is beautiful. I would honestly tell you to come here if you're looking, it's so nice, would come back. Our only negativity comes from our food taste, our neighbours to the left and the volume of music and mic. Bedrooms are perfectly fine, nice and clean, mini fridge, iron, hairdryer etc. could clearly do with some upgrades but it's all you need while you're on holiday. We loved our balcony although our sliding was rubbish, very hard to slide but you could hear others opening with ease. Maids are very nice, around early to collect towels and do the clean later, you can ask for a do not disturb hanger. We had a beautiful view of the pool, excellent sized balcony. Only issues with the rooms were the thin walls and windows, we barely slept all holiday, but that was 90% due to our neighbours, such inconsiderate humans. They only came alive between 12-4am! sounded like they were in a smash room with 2 little kids bouncing off the walls, running around screaming and fighting and the fella was drunk everytime you seen him. He'd been kicked out on our second night and was banging the door down shouting at 4am. We're easily 2 of the worst adults for our taste in food and what we eat even though we're both in our 30s, complete food-tism. Our main food here was always going to be chips, pizza and any chicken we could get. The chips were consistently undercooked, always white and floppy, only in the fryer for a minute or two before being dished out (unedible for us) in the restaurant, but the pool cafe throughout the day, the chips are perfect. Pool bar is 12-5, chips and pizza, gets very queuey even when the restaurant opens, between 4-5 they do pancakes and donuts. All points to the chef in the pool cafe! Saved us. (Also, this is just us, everyone else loved their food during meal times) They have alot of food to offer at the buffet, changes each night with 2 massive bbq grills in the front dining area.. Chicken, turkey, crab, fish etc. No cereal In the morning and if you wanted bread and butter, the butter is only available in the morning, none in the afternoon or evening. They don't go around with drinks for you at the restaurant as they do in some hotels, they have one drinks machine which has always got a huge queue, best to go the bat. Bottles of water free all day. The day time, they have great entertainment throughout the day, the staff are honestly brilliant, decent activities for everyone to join in including kids club. Only issue with this is the entertainer in charge of the music and the mic (lovely bloke, very friendly) It Is far too loud, from 9am, blasting at top volume, completely not necessary, we struggled to read our books and half the day was hard to relax and nap, especially with the heat on top of the music and mic volume levels. The best times here for an enjoyable relaxing pool time is between 12-3, when the entertainment go on their dinners, bring earplugs for the volume levels. There is a foam party Friday around 3pm, that was so much fun! The night time is great, mini disco for the kids, they have a little amphitheatre around the back where they do all their stuff in the night, a cobra show, magic show, bingo, dances etc. Be aware of Minnie Mouse! 🤣 you'll see.. They also had an indoor bar with the world cup games playing at night which was great for the quarter finals of the world cup! They have 4 little cats at the side of the restaurant in the little trees, there is a walkway between the door and stairs, they're beautiful to and very friendly, as we barely eat we snuck them food out every time the restaurant was open, although the staff didn't have a problem with us feeding them at all. If you're planning on coming here, please feed them! There was also a pregnant white one we seen at night wondering around, I hope she has her babies easy and they all get looked after. If you're planning on going to the local shops, go right when you leave the hotel, next door the the Aladdin restaurant, 3-4 min walk, they have prices on all the items, the mini supermarket to the left doesn't, you'll end up paying more in the mini supermarket then the other shop. Also don't go the the hotel shop, 75TND for an inflatable and the shop over the road was 25TND for the same one and anywhere between 3-6TND for a can of coke, depending if it's the man or woman. There isn't much around, it is a little secluded but there is some restaurants/cafes and shops, although the restaurants/cafes seem to shut early. Crocodile park 10min walk to the left of the hotel and the beach is a 20min walk from the back of the hotel with a shuttle bus every 15min.
This will be a very honest review Rooms absolutely terrible, need major refurb, first night fridge door fell off, followed by curtains falling down followed by no water in the bathroom on the last 2 nights, fortunately we had interconnected room so used the shower in the other room. On departure no lifts at all working, no help getting suitcases down including my 80 year old mothers despite asking for help! Food ok, drinks awful .. Gin tasted like rocket fuel. Staff friendly despite other reviews apart from reception on departure. Spa amazing best massage myself my daughter and my Mum have ever had.. truly amazing Pool ok, music could be turned down a bit though, even my 30 year old daughter thought it was too loud. Animation work tirelessly to try and give everyone a good time. Would I return, absolutely not
