HF Tuela Porto Ala Sul

3 friends, stopped at the HF Ala Sul hotel from the 14/6 to 18/6. We each had a room. One on 1st floor, Other two friends, one on 2nd floor and 3rd floor. I felt beds were comfortable, good size. not a single bed, 3/4 size bed. Towels were changed every day, even though I hanged the towels up, to re-use them. Like the bright orange tiles in bathroom . One of my friends, mentioned to Reception that the water in the shower tray, wasn’t going away. This was promptly fixed, while we were out. Liked the dining area and plenty spaces between tables, cooked & selection of fruit, cheeses, hot & cold drinks. Our first night, we had meal in restaurant, I had pasta and prawns, friends had steaks. Taxi rank, across the road, food hall, shopping centre nearby. Hotel location, of Boavisita, in the business district of Porto, ideal for us, we enjoyed the walking.

This is a fab 3 star hotel in the Boavista area of the city. I travelled solo and in a single room, which I found to be a great size. The breakfast is very good and all of the staff are friendly and helpful. All of the main city attractions are within a 20-30 minute walk and there are also a few reasonably priced restaurants also nearby. Five out of five stars all around.

We booked in advance without realising, that the hotel has different level of rooms. What we got, was extremely small. There was no reading lamp nor bedside table or a chair in the room. The bathroom is only for very skinny guests, as there is no space to open the door of the shower and you cannot open the hot water, as the tap hits the mirror. Staff is kind, cleanliness is perfect, bed is good. So be careful by booking.
