FERGUS Style Bahamas

Just back from a week away at this most unusual and dissapointing hotel, we went with my parents and our teenage son, I will start with the good points ~ 1.The food is just lovely, such a wide variety, and super clean restaurant 2.The beach is literally just off the poolside, and is a really stunning beach 3. Plenty of sunbeds/umberellas no sun bed wars by the pool. So those are my main plus points, negatives 🫣 1. Not a family hotel, advertised for families and people who would like a lively break, PLEASE take note of the lively part, sooo many of the customers were 18 - 25 and use the hotel for how near it is to the clubbing scene, some of the sights of the youngsters literally wearing hardly anything was unbelievable, some of scenes by the pool were totally unelectable, as the day go's on they use the 50 euro day beds for anything that takes their fancy 🫣🫣 2. Room cleanliness was poor, not once was our bathroom mirrors cleaned/or by the side of the sink, my parents had mold, and a leak that kept tripping the power, a pair of boxers were outside the room for a week !! 3. No sunbeds available on the beach for guests, the big selling point was the beautiful beach, 15 euros a day to hire a sunbed. 4. Noise 🫣🫣 on our 1st day after a 6.30 am flight, we got in the room at 3pm, (standard check in time ) and it was like being at a club, the music was soo loud, our rooms were ground floor, convenient but noisy, the music went on until 7pm that day, it wasnt every day but why so loud by the pool, then the evening entertainment started around 8 until midnight, don't even mention the planes every 3-5 minutes over head, not a restful/peaceful holiday in the slightest, clubbers coming back from around 4am also didn't help. 5. The hotel has a wrist band with pongus the unicorn on, 🦄 our son is 13 he had to wear this and they do up to 17, and they hardly offered anything for teenagers, 2 days of water polo, that lasted 20 minutes, a mention of darts football, but no one walking around to try and get kids involved, and also odd no mino discos ? Not for my lad but honestly another nod for how unsuitable this hote is for families 6.Miserable staff, the lady checking us in was very grumpy, the staff just didn't seem happy ? A nice cheerie lady in the restaurant, but apart from that honestly after holidaying for many years I've never seen such grumpy staff, the one day I asked if I could have a mirror for our room we only had 1 big one in the main bathroom, my Mom had 3 she almost laughed at me, and said every room was different we were 2 rooms away !! Ours had clearly been smashed and never replaced. 7. The bathroom in our ground room room had a dividing wall that didn't go to the ceiling so if you went to the toilet, the smells, the noise 😳 were totally embarrassing for who ever is using the toilet, not so bad for a couple but with your son in the room ? It was awful, see photo to make more sense, never been in an open plan room with a big gap between the ceiling and toilet divider 🫣🫣 Probably more to add, we paid £6600 with a free child place for 4 people, totally dissapointing break 😢

Went 10 days with family and friends. I have traveled quite often and let me say I never encountered such an un-welcoming hotel. Check-in was awful, booking paid 3months upfront, seemed our rooms were double booked. Pool closes at 1900 every day! Very unfriendly personnel throughout our stay, even to children. Rooms were smaller than advertised / booked, all-in had loads of exceptions, food was below average. Animation was under any I have seen thus far, atmosphere was poor. All over pavement made the place very hot even at night. Cocktail bar wasn't a nice place to be. Water in our building was interrupted multiple times during our stay, room keys deactivated at random times, awful waiting times at reception or at the free bar. The only positive thing to mention is the access to the playa den bossa beach. Apart from that I have nothing positive to add about this awful place, expect to be treated like an unwanted tourist here. Luckily we rented a car and visited some awesome places on the island. At checkout reception doesn't even bother to ask if you enjoyed the stay...

It was an excellent event.Me and the boys loved every second ,plus we got a very good homemade mojito out of it.Overall, very good.
