Evita Alegria Hotel

This review is my honest opinion and mine alone Decent hotel as a base to explore the island. On arrival couldn't check in for 2 hours+, luckily had a car so just went for a drive. Had a room on top floor (only mirror was in bathroom pain when it steamed up from shower) decent enough size room for 2 adults. On arrival the fridge had 2 small complimentary bottles of water. although it was a table top fridge 3 big bottles of water it was full. cleaner came regularly but "run out of bedding" so didn't change our beds the one day, towels changed regular, Bed sheets were way to small so couldn't be tucked in and as a restless sleeper by morning was sleeping on the bare mattress. AIRCON was free and very much needed at night. POOL looked decent to be fair although we didn't spend time at pool as we just explore. FOOD was decent enough, the man working bar was not very polite to us (guessing it because we didn't spend money there) maybe a smile and a good morning we would have visited the bar in the evenings. Was very relaxed and not noisy even though it was mainly younger people/groups. Plenty of room to park our hire car in car park. OVERVIEW tidy place for the money but we have been in much better 2* places (this is a 3* ) It could be so much better in my opinion with a few small improvements like the grass and hedges cut (although there were gardeners there the day we left) the tyre ruts in the garden could be filled in and grassed. its almost like a "work in progress" place. HAVING SAID ALL THAT WE WOULD RETURN AS LIKE I SAID SEEMS LIKE A WORK IN PROGRESS AND WITH A FEW TWEEKS WOULD BE GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY ( hasnt reopned long as we usually stay in the 2 local places) hopefully if we do return the few niggles will have been sorted out. Overall great stay at the Evita Alegria. The staff are attentive and friendly. Checked in no problem. The room was modern and had plenty of room. The bathroom was nice and modern. The pool area had a great atmosphere. Location is very close to the town centre meaning not a far walk back at all. Enough beds by the pool, there was only one day where we couldn’t get beds but we did go down very late, we just decided to go to the beach instead which was pleasant. Great deals on cocktails, the cheapest place we found in faliraki, food was standard for a poolside bar, was nice and cheap. This hotel offers great value. It was very clean, you could get pool towels for a €10 cash deposit. Hotel accepts card and cash on all transactions. Rooms had a fridge, free aircon, tv with Netflix etc, and a balcony with drying racks for swimming clothes. Hotel is fairly small and has a nice intimate feel. We got a very good deal on the price through Stayforlong and this hotel definitely delivered.

Lovely atmosphere, and clean room and facilities. The staff are all really friendly and go out of their way to help you. Also the cleaner works round the clock to keep everything tidy, she even sat my daughters teddy up on the bed. We would definitely come back
