Fantastic find in the heart of Budapest
We stayed here for two nights and the service was fantastic. The rooms are clean and spacious with all the amenities you'd need, along with comfy beds, a brilliant shower and a tv that connects to the internet. The minibar is very reasonable for such a hotel in a capital city, and the in room coffee machine was fantastic. A wonderful, wide selection of food at breakfast sets you up right for the day, although try the off-peak times as it does get very busy (and people unfortunately get pushy!) - eggs, bacon, beans for the Brits and lots of beautiful fresh fruit and vegetables, bread, yoghurt and sweet treats (there really is EVERYTHING) All staff were very attentive and friendly, always offered a smile and hello, and if they could help us. The rooftop bar is amazing with views of Buda like no other hotel I have been to, which is great because there are very few views actually of Buda from the Pest side. The Metro is a 5 min walk and there is a shopping centre and food market nearby, with plenty of quick and cheap options and fast food. I was shocked at how brilliantly quiet it was for its location (a very lively boulevard) but don't be put off by the busy-ness - this hotel is a quiet haven away from it all. There are extra services available like a fitness suite and hypoallergenic bedding which is a life-saver when you have allergies to fragrance and chemicals like myself. I almost didn't write this review as I want to keep this wonderful hotel to myself! :D
