Great holiday
A bit far out to nip to the town but has a nice small centre close by. Everything was better than ok. We had a great time. Andrea (Italian) was great and very helpful and funny. Thank you for the funny birthday artwork.

I’ll start by saying, when I read some of the reviews on here I actually contacted my travel agent to try and change hotels a few weeks before our stay, the cost turned out to be a lot to change the booking so we decided against it and I’m so glad we did. I understand people have different experiences but I cannot relate to the negative reviews on here. We had a fabulous stay as a family of 4, we stayed for 10 days and none of us wanted to leave. Yes, if you look hard enough you will find tired areas and slight room for improvements but I could probably do that in most hotels that I’ve stayed in. The new owners are clearly making more and more improvements as time goes on and I could see it being changed to a 4 star when they’ve finished. For example, whilst we were staying there they changed all the umbrellas round the pool areas to brand new ones and even that made such a difference. The pool areas are amazing, our room was right on the side of the kids pool which was a great location for us as that’s where my children were for most of the holiday! The slides are fantastic and the pool was cleaned 4 times whilst we were there and it was never unclean. The main pool was the same, lots of fun although you can’t have large floats in the pool so keep that in mind. They also play music round the main pool which created a good atmosphere, not by the kids pool though and the pool bar was right next to the main pool area. The rooms are a really good size, I’ve stayed in other hotels in Corralejo and they’ve been nowhere near as big and they were 4* hotels so I was really pleased with the rooms. When people say they are “basic” I’m not sure what else you could need, big bathroom, plenty of space, air conditioning, balcony space for outside seating, place to dry your clothes etc I would struggle to think of anything else people could need. They were regularly cleaned and towels changed. The food in the restaurant was actually really good, again I was worried about it with some of the reviews but we loved the food, plenty to choose from, some gorgeous salads and my kids ate really well the whole time they were there. Different themes every night, the kebab night was a personal favourite of ours and the pizzas were lovely. We ate out a couple of nights as we wanted to go to some restaurants in the area and all of us after eating out said we should have just stayed in the hotel for food as it wasn’t as good and cost us money! The drinks were also great, cocktail of the day went down a treat and the kids loved the slushies. Snack bar we didn’t use loads as we found the breakfast and lunch sufficient but some days the kids had a hot dog or some pastries and fruit etc, no complaints with that. The staff were really great, entertainment staff were so lovely and put on some great night time entertainment, the white party on Fridays are amazing! Music by the pool, decorations up and plenty of games and drinks with everyone dressed in white, really fun! And they had a 360 camera too which people loved. The restaurant staff honestly ran around like crazy making sure the plates were cleared and the food stocked up, couldn’t fault them at all they were all great. The lifeguards by the pool were also great. Location isn’t the best, it’s quite a walk into the main town area and beaches etc but we just asked for taxis at the reception desk and they arrived within minutes, as everyone is saying it’s €5-6 into the centre so we just paid for taxis most days. If it was just myself and husband we could have walked it easily but the kids were too hot and tired to walk it most days. The entertainment did go on quite late and with our room being so close to the pool we did find it noisy some nights till around midnight but it didn’t affect our holiday in any way. Sunbed wars are sunbed wars and they happen everywhere! We never had a problem and always got one so I didn’t find this hotel a big problem for that although I do think there’s space for more sunbeds, maybe that’s something they’ll put in place as part of the improvements but it wasn’t really a problem for us whilst we were there. The onsite shop was also really handy with the hotel being quite far away from everything. All in all I would 100% ignore the negative reviews and enjoy the hotel, for the price we paid I thought it was great value for money and we would definitely come back.
