Ok for a short break or base to explore
We booked 2 self catering sea suites for a long weekend to celebrate my 40th birthday and end of GCSE celebrations for our son and wanted to be close to the beach. Rooms were clean and air con good. Pool area was nice too and the on site supermarket was reasonably priced too. Location wise you’d probably want a car if staying longer than the weekend but we knew this before booking. Check in was slow as often only 1 person on reception. Unfortunately our door was faulty for the duration of our stay meaning we were unable to access our room daily for several hours and had to keep going back and forth to reception. We were eventually told the mechanism was over heating but had 2 room directly next to each other with the same heat/sun on them all day. No one ever apologised/followed up which we felt was poor customer service. Also, I would be really cautious at the sea view bar. They are not forthcoming about the prices of drinks and reluctant to offer menus to display these when we asked for one. €15 for a vodka and lemonade. When we queried this one of the bar men said that he always made a point of letting customers know this. Our fault, we should have been firmer and insisted on seeing a drinks menu but just a word of caution for others as felt this was massively overpriced and not transparent at all. Maybe they charge more in the evenings? Overall, for a 3* hotel we felt the accommodation was good but would not go back again as would explore a different part of the island and felt we spent too much time chasing for an issue that was out side of our control.
