Great little boutique hotel. We were more than happy and are thinking of staying there again. Made so welcome and the staff could not do enough to make sure that we were happy. Our room was spotless and, as I type this in the UK, I am definitely missing Santorini. Thank you so much to Dimi, Anastasia, the young lady who cleaned our room and the gentleman who came and met us when we were having trouble locating the hotel. Such lovely memories

Myself and my wedding party stayed here for my wedding in September and all 13 of us were extremely happy with the hotel. Our room (number 18) was spacious enough for myself, my husband and 2 of our children. Given all the negative reviews I was worried about the room size however once I got there I was pleasantly surprised. The reception/pool bar staff were absolutely amazing, they were so polite, chatty and would do absolutely anything to ensure your stay was perfect. The cleaning staff work so hard and the rooms and grounds were always immaculate and their cleaning products smell amazing! The pool area was perfect for us we always managed to get a spot by the pool and the pool was big enough for the 3 children to enjoy swimming. Whilst we were there we hired a ATV via the reception staff and the gentlemen who brought the bike was fab! I would definitely recommend doing this if you want to explore Santorini it’s a lot cheaper than getting taxis everywhere. The location is perfect. There is miles of bars and restaurants on the beach front and every single bar/restaurant we went in accommodated 13 of us and we were treated like royalty. The walk from the drop off point is not too far if you turn left as you get to the antoplia hotel it takes you to the car park at back of Anthea gardens which is a lot quicker than walking to the beach front and going though the front entrance. The only reason why I haven’t booked again for next year is because I like to visit different places, however my mum and dad have booked to come back next September and they can not wait! Really don’t understand why this place has so many bad reviews it could not have been more perfect for us. 100% worth the money. Thank you so much team Anthea we miss You already!!

After reading some of the reviews about the room sizes being small we didn’t have high expectations however to our surprise when we got to our room number 16 it is very spacious and plenty of room for the two of us very clean towels and bedding changed every other day. Anastasia on reception is very helpful and nothing is too much trouble the cleaning team do an excellent job Some of our fellow travellers complained about various things such as lukewarm coffee at breakfast and it was self service Anthea Villas is a two star accommodation not 5 star so you get what you pay for Location is brilliant a short walk or about 150 metres to the main seafront area and beach plus numerous restaurants a standout one for us was Aqua Dorian’s bar on the main road is a must for drinks and cocktails a large mythos €3 cocktails €6-7 wine €5 half a litre All in all we had a really great time in this simply Greek place

We arrived during the day as a group of friends, including four adults and two toddlers. Check-in was smooth, and we really appreciated being placed in rooms next door to the other family we were traveling with. The room was quite small with a lot of concrete surfaces, which wasn’t ideal for toddlers—but this seems fairly common across Santorini. Unfortunately, we weren’t given any basic information at check-in, such as breakfast times, pool hours, the WiFi password, or check-out time. These simple details would have helped us settle in more comfortably. We had arranged a private transfer through the hotel for €45, which initially felt like a great deal. However, upon arrival, management told us we might be charged extra because of the luggage we brought—just one suitcase per person for a week-long stay, which is pretty standard. A particularly frustrating rule was that we weren’t allowed to leave the air conditioning on during the day. This was a first for us, especially considering the heat and traveling with young children. Our room key card was even confiscated, and we had to return to reception to retrieve it. Anastasia at reception was the standout—she was friendly, helpful, and quick to resolve any issues. Unfortunately, this wasn’t the case with the rest of the management staff, who came across as rude and unwelcoming. It often felt like everything was an issue or inconvenience when we approached them with even basic questions or concerns. The pool area was small with limited loungers, though we managed to find spots each day. Kids weren’t allowed to use water toys due to safety concerns, which we understood. Ironically, the hotel reception floor was often soaking wet, and one of the toddlers actually slipped and fell—but we were told this was “to be expected,” which felt dismissive and unprofessional. The hotel’s location is excellent—just a short walk to restaurants, bars, and the beach, which was a big plus. Overall: A mixed stay. Great location and wonderful support from Anastasia, but let down by poor communication, strict and unusual rules (like the air con policy), and unapproachable management. With some small changes and a more welcoming attitude from staff, the experience could have been much better.

Anastasia was very helpful and so friendly, that can’t be said about that German shotputter thing that has an anger issue and tells you off for leaving a light on! Will not be back
