Just don’t

Don’t waste your money. Long queues, not relaxing at all. Staff not helpful. When I approached one of the lifeguards about kids climbing up the slides and kids getting hurt, he didn’t even respond to me, seemed annoyed and just let the kids carry on. You feel like you are on top of everyone. The food is not nice and I only saw the entertainment team in the evening. All other hotels I’ve stayed they come round and talk to you and make you feel welcome. Very disappointed

Good family resort with some minuses

Resort is really nice, family friendly, great pools, warm water. Nice rooms. Location it's perfect - 2 minutes walking to the main street. As minuses, you can consider the following stuff: 1. Kids animating team it's really boring, no feeling what they should do. Same scenario every night. 2. Sunbeds reservation - at 10:00 AM the scene it's similar to the famous scene from The King Lion movie - running like animals, but to reserve sunbed. Usually one family member took the task, loaded with towels, which he starts throwing on the sunbeds like boomerangs. One person, equipped with 7 towels runs over the sunbeds and cover them like on the war. Then he goes back to breakfast to join his family, task it's done ✅ - sunbeds for the whole family, kids, grandparents, sisters, all are guaranteed, no matter they are not there. Some sunbeds stay unused with hours, their "owner" can go even on the beach ⛱️, but when he comes back have sunbed. 3. Breakfast it's organized by time - each room have fixed time when they can go in. After 08:30 AM, infront it's a long queue of hotel guests - waiting for someone to finish it's breakfast and go out, so they can go in. 4. Room cleaning it's mostly proforma, it's done so fast, that you first wonder how it's possible. Well, it's not. There is even old food under or on the bed, toilet paper is not filled, shampoo also.

Family of 6

Grounds and facilities - amazing, considering how busy this hotel is, the place is always spotless. Grounds are beautiful and the clever use of space to fit in as much as possible into a compact area I think is great. Especially when you have kids wanting to go in all directions. We did find our 14 year old too old for this hotel. He struggled with the lack of 2m deep pool and slide sizes but for our other 3 it was amazing for them. Allergies - this is something that has really mixed reviews for this hotel. So I contacted the hotel before booking and they ensured me they catered. This is true but also not, probably hence the mixed reviews. If you ask for a gluten free pasta you will get a gluten free pasta BUT not a single food is labelled that is out. This is the only hotel we have ever had this with and I really feel this is a massive let down for the hotel. Food - we paid extra to go half board. I really wish we didn’t now. We are not a fussy family, we have done many budget hotels including Bulgaria but be warned. This really is the worst hotel we have been to for food. The restock time is so slow, half the time it’s not restocked and nearly always cold. It’s also the least selection of foods we have ever seen in a hotel. If you go to breakfast later in the morning - be warned you won’t get a mug or tea spoon. Pool bar - we ate here for lunch 3 days and we really enjoyed the food. Unfortunately we found the drinks quite costly so we ended up stocking up at the supermarket and bringing our drinks down from the room instead. Also they put hot water in our daughters free from pot noodles which was handy as rooms don’t have kettles. I do understand why they charge €1 a cup that you get refunded when you take it back with the receipt but I found this so annoying, it wasn’t a quick process and if you lose the receipt then you can’t get refunded for them. Rooms - we knew about the room layout before we went and this didn’t bother us. We are a family of 6 so dad and son went in 1 room and myself and 3 girls went in the other. The only thing I do find strange is that the toilet is a swinging 3/4 door. Absolutely no privacy if you need it lol. The storage was hard to juggle. We do a lot of caravan holidays and this is what I would compare the room size to. Compact but clean but you probably will live out a suitcase if you are a family of 4 in 1 room. We chose not to pay more for the garden room and I’m so glad we didn’t. I actually preferred the privacy of upstairs. Location- location is great, we walked to PortAventura train station (30 mins) and PortAventura park 2 days (25 mins) Stip is only 5 mins straight ahead of the hotel and I like the fact we were basically at 1 end of it so you didn’t have to pick which way to walk each night. Would I come back to this hotel - no Did we have a nice holidays - yes Before we booked this hotel we nearly booked one that was £500 cheaper in the next street. We paid the extra for Alannia due to the pools and in the hope for the free from food. Personally for us, this price difference wasn’t worth it.
