You may need to pay a tourist or visitor's tax in some destinations. This is usually payable on arrival or departure at your hotel or airport.
This isn't paid to us – it's usually paid when you check in at your hotel, but in some cases it may be collected on departure or at the airport. The amount and payment method can vary depending on where you're travelling.

Yes, if you've booked a holiday to Cape Verde, you'll need to pay Cape Verde Airport Tax before you travel. This applies to all passengers aged 2 and over, regardless of which airline operates your flight.
What you need to do:
Register online and pay the tax at least 7 days before you travel. The cost is approximately €31 per person.

Important to know:
If you don't pay in advance, the cost increases to approximately €62 per person at the airport. This can also cause long delays at passport control, which might mean you miss your transfer if you've added one to your booking.
We can't cover the cost of the airport tax or any missed transfers caused by these delays, so we recommend registering and paying as soon as you book your holiday.
